its about time people started standing up against the parties they do not run the country even though they keep trying. the states do not have the right to tell the parties what to do but they can hand down punishment in the form of stripping some of the perks that only the republicans and Democrat parties have concerning getting on the ballots.

vote 3rd party it time for a real change

time for real campaign reform
1. u can only donate to people u can vote for
2. no pac's, corporate, lobbyist, or foreign donations
3. must be us citizen to vote
4. unlimited donations but public list of the donors and how much they have given
5. 6 month campaign cycle
6. no matching federal funds
7. no donations to political parties, the politicians can give a part of there raised funds to their own parties ( cause you cant vote for parties, but for people.)

This is true, but I find your berating justified. The republican led Florida Legislature put our primary before the Democratic Party said they could and the punishment is all the major candidates have pulled out, the DNC will not sit our delegates and we are a laughing stock.. AGAIN! So where is the liberal denial? I think it is more a, Florida cannot follow the rules and we got a punishment handed down. Now we don't count in the primary. And Bill Nelson is far from liberal.

Want to hear the rest of the story? The states do not have the right to tell a political party how to choose their candidates for office. The Constitution says nothing about how political parties nominate their candidates because there were no parties when the Constitution was written. So, even though there are usually over a dozen candidates on the general election ballot for President, usually only one or two parties choose their candidates in primary elections. Most parties have something like a board meeting or a convention & choose a candidate w/o any feedback from voters. I believe the Republican Parties in some states with primaries choose not to use them, but I could be mistaken.

The National Democratic Party has drawn up a set of rules concerning how early a state can hold a primary & have that vote count at the National Convention. The state legislature chose to ignore those rules when they reset the primary election for late January..

I am not happy with the way the national party has dealt with the issue, but they have the legal right to do it. However, there are laws against libel, & you just broke it.

Ok - well we know exactly where you stand on this - before anyone has responded you have claimed Dems are denying it and thus are all liars.
I actually agree with what the DNC is saying. Jan is far too early to have a primary. I am sure it will be resolved.

I'm a conservative. So, in this, I can be impartial.

The DNC OWNS the primary. They can run it any way they want to. You got NO rights here, they OWN it. They can include or exclude anyone.

Your voting PRIVILEGE is only in the general election.

The Democrats must not self-destruct in Florida. They must unite for the good of the interests of the party.
