Ok I know there are 100000 questions like this but I'm dying to figure out what movie this is, I watched it 4 years ago in school and I cant remeber what it is:
It was made in 1980s or 1990s
It had a bunch of little kids but i think it was told as someone remembering it
There was a girl who dissapeared when a bell rang (she switched places with something)
There was a fire at this church thing
There was one scene with a creepy clown thing (i only remeber it cuz it freaked me out)
It was kind of a mystery, but not horror
any help would be much appretiated

The ending was not so.. stupid in the actual movie.. but, this should help jog the memory..ignore the giant alien thing.. (they took it out completely) and they changed the wig or something on Karen, because she doesn't look THAT horrid in the actual movie either.. lol..
The creepy clown thing took place when Jan goes to a fun house.

This could be IT, which is based on a Stephen King horror story about a group of kids who fought against a demonic creature, IT, which often manifested itself as a clown called Pennywise. IT would freak them out by praying on their worst fears.
After they grow up, IT returns, and they reunite to fight him again.
Oh, and it's got John Boy from the Waltons in it...

It was NOT "IT"
My daughter has worn out every copy of that horrible movie since she was four. I have only seen it because she watched it so much when she was little.

i saw that movie too but dont know the name . my mom and i watched it and couldnt understand the thing about the clowns. i love clowns and that made me think twice about them. i wish i paid attion to the beginning to see the name.
