They are awfully cheap. Is this a bogus degree? - I know it would not be worth as much as some top schools but would it be worth anything?

Ashworth University is a nationally accredited (DETC) and not regionally accredited (SACS) - therefor, there will be problems transferring credit later if you want to.

They are not "bogus" since they are recognized as accredited by the US government. A regionally accredited degree is more marketable.

It is "nationally" accredited by DETC, but it is worthless nevertheless. This "university" started out in 1987 selling real estate courses. Now it has a wide variety of useless degrees. Here one testimonial:

"I learned so much in this course. It showed me how to implement gourmet techniques in the kitchen, not just pictures of recipes."

High praise, indeed !

ps: SACS accredits Ashworth's High School courses only.

i am taking criminal justice with them,i havent had any problems with them. i have just been reading a lot of negative things about them,so now im not so sure how good they are.to transfer credits or get hired it might depend on the type of program you take.louisiana dosent accept the teacher aide ones.i am so far into it that i would still have to pay total price.
