I can't resist tossing in my answer to this one. - Firstly, it is hilarious. Like something you would see in a British comedy skit or something.
But seriously, folks, people can become emotionally attached to their faithful dogs. Maybe it's a continual Freudian slip :) Maybe she's calling his name because she thinks he's in the living room ready to chew some furniture.
Maybe, you are pulling our collective legs with this funny question.

Why neuter the dog? Ask her about this maybe her mine was on the dog at that time. Ask yourself this question was their really passion at this time.People do love their animals and most of the time they are on your mind no matter what sometimes,they are like your children.
