No. And I've come up with a good device to help me locate my car in really crowded parking lots. I took a toilet plunger, wrapped the handle with colored plastic tape and taped a little fringe material at the end of the handle. Whe I finish parking the car I take the plunger out of the trunk and plunk it down on the roof of the car. I can emerge from a large mall and see my "flag" sticking up at a good distance. Since it is a toilet plunger, no one has ever seen fit to steal it because they don't know where it has been. LOL!

I haven't reach that level yet.LOL But my problem was losing the car keys in the house. After several years of misplacing them I realized I needed to create a good habit. The keys go on the key holder on the wall.
With cars. I, and more than likely just about everyone here, did not place a high priority on the location of my car when I would stop to shop anywhere. I would have other things on my mind. With the granddaughter distracting and all. Looking out for moving cars, etc. What I do now is once I get out of the car, I look for the lamp post signs that designate the general spot location. Its easy street from there. Just developing a habit. We get too distracted sometimes and tend to forget where we were. Another thing. If you are upset and or angry because of events that have happened in the past few hours, you will have a tendency to forget where you parked. LOL

Oh boy....been at that point for some time! I always write down the number or letter of the parking line-up on my shopping llist, and have put a bobble-head dog up on the console where I can see it thru the windshield...AND put a bright day-glo orange sponge-ball on the antenna...no more losing ME in the lot! Hated having to ask the security guy to drive me around the lot up one side and down another... now if I had a Ferrari, no problema!

Heck, I am just 35 and I forget were my bed is at night.... lol Yes I forget where I park my car about 3 out of 4 times when I go shopping
as a matter of fact I was out with my mom about 3 monthes ago and she went in to the store and I stayed in the car and she forgot I was with her and she went to a car (they have 2 cars we were driving one and left the other at home of course) that looked like her other car and got into it and it wasn't until she realized she didn't have her keys that she heard the horn beeping and seen me across from her laughing my tail off! Buddy you never seen someone move that fast before!

Yes, I do. I try to make a mental note of where I park now. One day I came out of the store and was looking at something else as I came up to 'my' car and put the key in the hatchback. It wouldn't work, I even tried my spare key and it wouldn't open it either. I was about to call for help when I looked at the next row over and saw my car. I'd been trying to get in the wrong one. I now have very colorful seat covers that tell me which one is mine. lol

Ya..I was driving a little sports car during the xmas holidays . I parked it beside a pickup truck and when I came out of store couldn`t find it. So I was pushing a big cart with xmas presents and trying not to freeze in the snow. I guess the mall security is used to driving lost women looking for their cars so I`m not the only one that can`t find the car.

Always. And I'm only 34. I've even been known to leave people at places. My solution is a distinct red SUV - less to pick from. I hate borrowing my husband's green 4-door car - there are just way too many of those in the parking lot!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh yes. I make it a point of waiting a moment before I leave my car on a street or parking lot and just take in my surroundings. I'll remember something that will alert me to my car -a street name, a shop, a streetlight, a sign, anything that will help me remember, especially if I am in an unfamiliar neighborhood.

Yes. And that is exactly why I always try to find a parking spot in the same general area each time I go where ever. Just wait until you can't find you car and when you do, the keys are still in it and the motor is still running. It happened to my mom in her earlier stages of Alzheimer's.

I don't have a car so I always
know where the bus stops.
It's that big green thingee
that people get in and out of.
My only problem is, it's very
easy to catch one going North
instead of South.
a lady was half way to Fortuna when she decided
she was going the wrong way.
they let her off at the college
(and she had to wait for a
bus heading North.) I never
want to waste the time doing
that.
