As you all know this poll will not affect the outcome of the resolution in Congress. But speaking about history, Armenian Genocide is part of it, and should be recognized properly. All those deniers don't look any different from Iran's president who denies the Jewish Holocaust and calls it a "myth".
Turkey should come to terms with its bloody past. Open the border with Armenia, recognize the Armenian genocide, Get rid of notorious article 301, protect human rights, and join European Union.

It's a historical fact and should be known by world.
But does it really hurts the relation of US and Turkey? Being logical, NO but being emotional and following Turkish ideologies yes.
Because Turkey can't understand that it doesn't hurt Turkey, its about Ottoman period, but doesn't mean to be forgotten.
Remember the past, and look at the history, find out roots of Genocides to prevent them from happening again.
Do you think about "why we still see so painful genocides in the world"?

YAY. The Armenian Genocide will be passed, and those who believe that there was no genocide should take a further look into history. The young Ottoman Turks wanted to achieve their goal of Pan Turkism and thus used the First World War to extenuate the killings of more than 1.5 million Armenians who lived in the Ottoman empire. The Armenian Genocide was thought out and sadly well planned. Talat pasha, Enver pasha, Cemal pasha were the leaders of the Ottoman empire at the time and planned the Genocide against the Christian Armenians. English Nuns in the middle east during W.W.I have reported mass killing of Armenians in Turkey. The Turks knew very well to not get their hands dirty with Armenian blood, therefore they un armed the Armenian population and sent them on death marches in the Der Zor desert in Syria. Consequently, it seemed as if the Armenians had died of disease, hunder, or dehydration but this was not the case. The Turks also released rapists and murderers(called Teshkilet Mahsuse) from prisons into Armenian villages to kill the inhabitants. It was not only men who perished in the genocide but women and innocent children as well. Now someone try to tell me that the Armenian Genocide did not happen, that it was only a consequence of the first World War- the truth is that it did happen and that it is an inevitable part of world history which is saddly not accepted by the U.S. Those who say that the Armenians were traitors to the Turks and fought against them, I ask you this if you lived in a country where you were discriminated for being christian, forbidden to speak you native language, practice your traditions, and express your culture, a country that tried to make you Muslim to fulfill their goal of achieving Pan Turkism what would you do. Would you fight for your rights or would you let them massacre you and your family. The Turks are not people and are more inhuman for not acepting what they did. I DONT CARE HOW LONG AGO IT OCCURED THE POINT IS THAT IT DID HAPPEN AND IT WAS NOT ONLY AN INJUSTICE TOWARDS THE ARMENIAN RACE BUT TOWARD ALL OF HUMANITY.

YAY because if we let the crimes unpunished then we encourage turkey or any other brutal country to commit more crimes against humanity and that's what they exactly want.
