Of course Love, unrequited love, lost love, forbidden love, love of life, love of humanity, love of a pet, love of nature.

Poetry is the language of love, I guess that's why that is what I think of when I think poetry. It usually has it roots in something to love, even if it is a love of sitting alone in the darkness and thinking, even when thinking dark evil thoughts. Something we love.

a window, a football, a rock.
Let the concept grow into
something like a metaphor.

loss, false patriotism, homeless, gray skies, dancing leaves, inner workings, repressed desires, love and lust, unreal expectations, nightmares, blue water, sunburned hearts, black tears, crumbling relationships, silence, beautiful eyes, the color orange, snow or rain, ticking of a clock, death in human form.....
