Need science project want it to be fun as well as educational regarding the solar system .?

My son likes to build and will take several photos with a solarized toy to show how to contruct a solar power bringing it to life not using a lot of energy, working off light such as sun no it darkness. Need additional information on to make this informational as well as educational. This is for a Science Project and really want it to be fun, detailed, informational and interesting,

Hi. Your son could build a camera tracking system that would allow it to follow the Sun while it moves across the sky. He could use a pin hole camera to save money and should be able to view sunspots safely.
