#1, you need to tell us what kind of fish you have
#2, you should tell us what size tank, how dedicated you are, and what you plan on doing with the fry.

EDIT: To breed them, you first have to condition them with meaty foods like frozen bloodworms or brineshrimp or live worms or brineshrimp. Turn the temperature up to 81*, and wait. Provide the tank with very LITTLE current, and tall, floating plants. Gouramis will blow a bubble nest (it looks like a large mound of bubbles in a corner of the tank), current will destroy these nests, making breeding impossible. The plants will help give the fish something to use as structure for the nest. Very soon, you will see the male blowing his bubble nest. Later, he will display courting rituals to the female, who will deposit her eggs on the bottom of the tank, near the nest. The male will individually scoop each egg up in his mouth, and deposit it in its own individual bubble so it can hatch. Be sure to keep the water clean. The male will protect the fry for a few weeks (they can be taken out 3+ days after the eggs hatch), but may decide to munch on any weak or deformed fry (natural culling is important). Email me if you have any questions.

Gourmies like to blow their bubble nest in some floating plants like anything that floats. It can even be a plastic plant . Turn the filter off until after the babies are 4 days old if you get that lucky. I'm still not sure what kind of fish you have , is it a blue gourmi or a pink one ? Are you even sure you got a male and a female?Hey good luck.

1. you'll need: LOTS of plants and shelters! most fish would lay their eggs on the plants or rocks, fries would also be hiding around it. in this case they're gourami, they'll pick up the leaves bits by bits and put these in their bubble nest.
you may need special separate breeding tank but this is optional if you got lots of shelters.
keep the temperature and water condition as fine as possible, stressed fish will not breed or even die...
2. you just need to supervise and observe, just keep things calm and unstressful for the fish, disturbances must be taken away. provide with healthy food and keep the water as fine as possible. if you want to, you can separate the breeding ones but you have to keep her unstressed...
other than that, you can just relax and enjoy one of nature's wonders ^^

pink gouramie and blue gourami
two different species that wont cross breed with eachother.
they are bubble nesters so they dont need breeding traps.
My honest advise is you sound over your head. Fish breeding isnt a right and it isnt easily done by everyone. it takes time, money and most important passion for the animal/and it doesnt sound liek your ready.

I thought all you needed was a boy fish and a girl fish and all you needed to do was put them together in the same tank. They will do the rest.
