He's about 52 and he never had a good song and he gets the ***** treatment around here.I thought everybody hated him until I went to college and people from the east love him.Now I see him kissing up to the new rappers getting on thier songs and he's on a comercial for BET like he belongs around rap.So my point is who likes this guy if you do give me a good reason and don't say he's a lyricist .

E-40 has a style all his own, not like all these bubble gum rappers out there nowadays, and he spits game, always has.

All rappers have radio songs, but when you listen to a whole E-40 album, you get the real from him. He's original, which is something I can't say about too many artists nowadays.

Regardless of what he is doing now, I have to give it up to Forty for his longeivity in the game. I'm from Nor-Cal (Born in Richmond, lived all my life in Sacramento) so when I was a kid I could really appreciate that it was just not LA guys doing their thing on the West and I was proud to say that cats like Spice 1, The Luniz, Forty, and Too $hort where from places I knew. Most of them fell by the wayside but I still gotta give props for what they did back then

man i dont know what yall are talkin about. E40 is dope. yeah he's old, i like to call him E40yearold, but he's fresh. the way he puts it down on a record like: gasoline, you can tell he got skills. the stuff he spits cant be faked. he gives props to the underground and is self-made. meaning that he remained a legend in the bay area( and many other places) while being independant from major label money. he's payed his dues the tough way. getting rich off his community is alot more satisfying than getting a fat bonus from a label. to get off the subject for a second, there is a difference between, a pimp, a player and a mack. and e40 has a certain swagger and essence of a player. and hes mastered the machinegun style fast rapping, although he rarely chooses to use it. and its ridiculous to think that hes "kissin up" on these new rappers. they pay him to be on their track. it makes them look better having a vet on their song. from hood to hood, city to city, to titty to titty, e40 is nationally approved and ghetto accepted

I agree. But he was good in the 90's 4 awhile then he started 2 try & be commercial. Now he's really commercialized & sold out. His early stuff was good. But yeah I dislike him now 2 though.
