No, mon dieu! Who told you that? Of course you need to make plans, otherwise you will get caught with your pants down when the boat arrives and you have no ticket!!! AAUUUGGGHHH!!

However, you also need to stand at that boat loading dock and look out onto the beautiful blue waters and smell the sea air and dance and sway to the salsa music that is pouring forth from the boom box that the cute guy is carrying as he walks by and winks at you!!!!!

Plan, yes, but don't forget about what is happening right now. Sometimes life's best times are made up of moments! Make the most of them!!!

And remember to ((((((((((hug)))))))))) your loved ones!

One should ALWAYS plkan for the future but should also be prepared to deal with the unintended consequences of what happens when things don't go quite as planned. Always have a Pan B and a Plan C ready to drag out if the situation warrants.

Not at all. Even if the future doesn't turn out as planned, you'll have SOMETHING ready. And it might be useful, because there will always be a future.

Besides, it gives people something to do.

It is intelligent to plan for the future, however, one must be open to chance. We can plan for the future but we never know what will really happen in the future. As humans, we need guidance and plans.

I take it one day at a time now.
I made my bed a long time ago and now I'm sleeping in it. If you have that expression you will know what I mean.

Only if you have already given up, thrown in the towel, and don't care about yourself or the people that care about you.
