The letter Q is used in transliterating (doing letter-for-letter transcription of) several languages to the Roman alphabet. The most common are Arabic and Chinese, but there are others. (You were given Umiaq, which is a more accurate transliteration of the old Umiak, as an example from a Native American language.) So words from those languages that get used in English will be spelled with a Q without a U. One example is "suq" (used to be spelled "sukh"), which is a Middle Eastern open market area. Most of the words will be geographical. As far as genuine English-derived words, there aren't any, because the "qu" convention took over. (Kudos to the persons who came up with Q-tip and qwerty, but one is a trademarked product name, and the other is a reference to a keyboard design. Neither is a regular word.)
