Rock and Ambient, New Age, World Musics and Soundtracks. Rock would be melodic, ambient would have to be calming, new-age would have to be progressive creative and not particularly commercial sense, World musics have a depth of modern means dealing also in some rock music. Soundtracks have progressed over the years and the depth of field play an important role in any film.

Anything fast and happy.
I like disco, some rap, a lot of rock, a lot of pop, many movie soundtracks, cheerleading, some! It has to be quick with a good movement of speed. NO crying songs!! And no repetitive songs where they say one thing, over and over again.

That one new song by Rob Thomas is pretty cool. It's a fast one. I don't usually like rock but that song caught my attention. They performed it on the Today show.
