Generally I am a listener. But when needed, I can also talk. I find if I talk less, then people don't expect as much, and I don't "put my foot in my mouth"!

There is an art to both, a sort of dance that is required. I used to be much more of a talker, but as I get older I'm trying to improve my social skills and taking the time to listen, truly listen, is something I'm consciously working to improve.

Depending on who I am with, 30% talker and 70% listener.

My mom says I was born talking & haven't shut up since. lol
I've learned to listen more as I've gotten older. I'd read once that many people don't really listen to others, they just wait for their turn to say what they want to say. Now I make sure I actually listen to what someone is saying.

In a group I listen until I have something meaningful to say. One on one I carry on a conversation.

Both. I try to listen carefully so I can talk sense when it's my turn to respond. Most of the time that works.
