Kiana or Kiara?

Which name do you prefer out of Kiana or Kiara? Also, what do the names mean? Do they mean different things or is it the same just spelled differently?

They are both beautiful names, but I like Kiara a little better.

Kiana means "living with grace." It is of American origin.

Kiara means "clear, bright, and famous" It is of Latin/Italian origin

Just to let you know, Kiara is a much more popular name.

Kiana is the Hawaiian form of Diana, meaning "heavenly, divine." I've also seen it used as an Anglicized form of Ciana, the feminine version of Cian, meaning "ancient." I'm assuming you're saying this differently, however, because Ciana would be KEE-an-a or KEEN-a, while I'm guessing you want kee-AH-na here.

Likewise, Kiara is a common misspelling of Ciara, which is, quite simply, KEER-a. It's the feminine form of Ciaran, which basically means "little black one" (from the root ciar, "black," and a diminutive suffix). But again, seeing the two of these being considered leads me to believe you want it said kee-AH-ra or something more along those lines. Just seems more created, and less an actual name, know what I mean?

There are way to many people named Kiara, Kiana is a better choice because there are less people with that name.
