What is the greatest advice you've ever been given? Who gave this advice to you? Did you listen? Why was this advice the greatest?

Always be yourself...my dad, I believe, was the one who always stressed that piece of advice to me. I listened, and it was the greatest advice because underneath all the garbage that life can throw around, I still know who I am.

When in doubt, don't, especially when it comes to marriage because your fears will turn into your biggest nightmares!
My mother gave me this advice when I was a teenager.
Yes, I did listen! I have never married because I have always had doubts!

As a plumber it is 1. Crap rolls down hill. 2. Paydays on Fridays. 3. Never pick your teeth. and 4. Never eat the caramel. This all came from my uncle, and yes it has truly made my world complete.

The best advice ... hmmm
When someone told me,
"You won't understand unless you've gone through it."
people are always telling each other their advice, but the truth is the other person probably won't listen until they go through it.

My grandpa told me that you will always be able to count your true friends on one hand and just when you think that you have more than 5 true friends stop and think about it because one of them is not your true friend!!! Probably didn't listen at the time but the older I get the more I realize he was right. Think about your true friends it's probably true for you also.

be nice to everyone you meet, think how you would like to be treated, no matter who they are, yes i did listen, i cant remember who gave me the advice though, it was when i was a lil kid....dunno why but it really stuck with me and ive always just been nice to everyone...
