Hello. I know it might seem nerve wracking to get your period since you go through bad cramps and fatigue but it's really not that bad. When you get your period, you should use pads which come in absorbant sizes like light (for light flow), Regular (for regular flow periods), and Super (for people who have a large flow). I want to suggest to change your pad at least 3 times a day and keep clean down there by taking a shower everyday or else you will smell bad. If you are using tampons, on the box, it has instructions on how to properly use them . I would'nt use them if this is your first considering you might still be too small for them so just wait for a couple more years untill you use them. Since you will be very tired (fatigue) you'll need lots of rest and plenty of water to help keep up with blood regaining. Also be sure to eat a good healthy diet while on your period. I hope this helps and good luck!!

You should tell your mom if you haven't already then buy a TON of Midol it reallllllly helps or Advil or tylenol. I use midol then buy some pads and panty liners. IMPORTANT: the day u get your 1st period mark it on EVERY calendar u c. because 1 day u might wear white jeans of a skirt and u may get your period in school. if u mark the date you get your period like a day or 2 be4 that day you can start wearing a pad just in case you get it during a class. Be prepared for bad craps and days you forget you may get your period because the day you forget to wear a pad you may get your period. You may also get your period a week before you first got it or even three weeks after just be prepared 4 anything.

Welcome 2 womanhood!!!

Tell your mom. Dont worry, telling your mom is EASY! I stressed about that and all I did was I told her over the phone. I said "Mom, where are the pads." And she told me. If you are uncomfortable with telling her then tell her you dont want to talk about it. She will understand. Your mom went through the same thing. When you get your period, just wipe yourself and stick on a pad AND BREATHE! Its only going to be there once a month. Dont use a tampon right away. You have to find out a size and obsorbancy. I suggest the tiny OB ones to begin with and get ones with an aplicator for two reasons. 1 you dont want to stick your finger up there and 2 its easier. About the cramps, get in a warm bath or put a heating pad or warm waterbottle where your cramps are to sooth them. Soon this will be and every month thing and no big deal. If you get the symptoms just slip on a pantyliner in case and wait. When it comes, just get that week over with.

everything will be okay. just tell your mom. then ithere start wearing pads or tampons since u just started i suggest pads. when you go to schooljust ask to go to the washroom when u feel it getting wet. bring a pad. and change it in there. when takeing a shower you dont even need to worry. because when u get wet it stops untill u dry. go hury jump into the shower. (oh and u mite see a lil blood but it was just left over so like 2 secongs just to wash it off). after the shower quickly dry off and put a pad back on your panties.

good luck.

ps : when using a pad just pull of the back papper thow the paper out and push the pan onto ur pantis (if theres wings just do the same.

Go tell your mom and she can tell you what to do and get you everything you need. If she's not home ask an older sister or something like that. And if nobody that can help you is home, look in the bathroom for a pad and put it on the inside of your underwear (where the blood is).

tell your mom!if your moms not yet home you go l.ook for a pad or if your at school tell your teacher or your close friend to help you out. if you dont like to tell anyone at school you can put a tissue paper in ur undies while going to the store to buy a pad. and thank god for giving you a body that is normal!

Try to put toilet paper there until you can get pads or tampons.
I was in the same boat a while ago, also if your stomach hurts, take tylonol (sp?)
Hope I helped.
