What do you do when the depression keeps coming back?
I've been depressed (major depression) for about 8 years now and for about 5 months I've managed to "get over it" and I was fine until now and I'm just kind of fed up with it. I don't know what to do. I'm losing focused in school and I'm starting not to care anymore about anything. The only thing that's keeping me going is the fact that I want to be successful in the future. If it wasn't for that I think that I would've committed suicide already I've been in a couple of bad relationship where the guy was trying to take advantage of me sexully but thankfully I never let it get to that level. To be honest I don't know how I've kept my sanity for as long as I have. I"m starting to get fed up with everything. I am currently a junior. I really want to graduate and hopefully get my MBA in graduate schools.... I"m stressing and I don't know what to do

Maybe you need to go back on your medication for alittle while so you can get back on track. As you know, it doesn't have to be a lifetime of medication, but something has brought on this change, so you need help for alittle while. I'm sure counseling would help you understand and get past the suicide feelings.

Have you had a good physical examination? There are some physical things that can cause depression, and if you haven't already, try to get someone to talk to about that. some of the things you mention - the guys trying to get into a sexual thing with you, for example - may be one part of what is fueling the depression. I have included a link here to LEF and some articles they have on depression so you can read those
One thing that may help with school, if not the depression is DMAE which is a natural substance but which has been shown to improve concentration and memory
Another idea would be to try to find a spot to practice meditation in your area and perhaps that might help as well.
you have to believe that you can do this - I have faith that you can do this - and then do it. Good Luck to you
