I would like to know if what i have done for my guppy is the correct thing. I bought a seperate tank for her, put some breeding grass and plenty of plants in it and put her in this tank. She has been in this tank for almost a week. Should i release her back into the community tank for a little while or keep her in the tank i have her in now?

If you move her into a different tank when it is too early, she can possibly get stressed and abort her babies. Dont move her. Instead, float lots of plastic or real plants in the main tank. Also plant some in the gravel. If you notice that the female is alot skinnier than yesterday, look in the plants for some babies. Then scoop them up and put them in the other tank. Less stress on the female.

I found that guppies breed so quickly and easily, that all you have to do is leave them in the community tank with PLENTY of floating aquatic plants with lots of small leaves (cabomba and anacharis worked best for me). In no time you'll be back to Answers to try to figure out how to make them stop reproducing!

If you already moved her once I would keep her in that tank. Moving her twice may stress her out and she may not drop the babies. I would think you are doing the right thing by moving her right now.

get yourself a little acrylic box, they are made to hang inside your tank, and sometimes will have some fake plant grass in them. they cost 10-20 bucks and will be the best idea for you, i think.

here is a product that only costs a few dollars, it is made of net and hangs on the inside of your tank. i think this ids ideal for you.

I would leave her just where she is

good choice on getting a breeding tank
If you would move her again, you might stress her out and she can aport her fry
Once she has dropped her fry, move her back into the community tank

Hope that helps
Good luck

I agree with "Brett R." Why would you do a fish? Also, i noticed on your picture you are a girl... how can this be? I never thought a girl could get i fish pregnant, but i guess i was wrong. Well, i hope you and your fish have lots a babies together. And remember... if you dont want anymore kids use "The Pill" On the fish.
