Yes, I hate it! Then my husband looks down and picks up the keys with a big smile on his face. Too much stuff laying around to see the small stuff like keys.

I think it is brain overload. I really try hard not to misplace my keys, however I have left them in the front door for 2 days, because I couldn't find my keys, I couldn't go anywhere. I have lost them in my purse and on the coffee table. I get frustrated at times with the whole mess

Maybe we miss it because we are seeing the whole picture and not focusing on the smaller. I know my eyes aren't as elastic as they were. I will probably need bi-focals this year. Most people got them around 40, but I have since passed that and have done well!
What is even worse than what you mentioned is looking for the glasses !!! LOL.

I used to do that, then we got a little key holder to hang in the kitchen and I never misplace them now. I did however lock them in the car at a family reunion in another state. No one could get them out, so finally I had to get my cousin to drop me off at the locksmith. It was a lovely site, me waving at all my family from the window of the tow truck, along side the guy who came to unlock the car. lol

Pretty good with keys but I have been known to be in a panic looking for my glasses when I've had them on.

When not in use my keys are either in my right front trouser pocket or on my nightstand.
I do this because it's usually my memory that is lost.

Actually, I always know where my keys are. I keep them in my purse when I'm not using them, otherwise, I'd be looking for them all the time. ~lol~
