A few months ago I noticed that I had a mini testicle (about 1/4 the size of a normal one) attached to my left testicle. I really don't want to go to a doctor, I haven't been to one in years, so it would be very embarrassing to have someone see me naked when I've just gone through puberty. I want to see if any of you guys can help me since I'm freaking out. What can this be? It doesn't hurt at all and It feels like I have 2 testicles. I was researching this a bit and I found out it might be a "cyst" or something...can someone please help?

Hey listen. Its Scary and Very embarasing to go to doctor when something in "the Nether Regions" are a complaint, But all the research in the world on the web wont really give you a diganosis untill you go to a docotor. Ive had to go to a doctor for Problems "down there before" and the doctor has allways been professional and understanding. Your 14 dude, you dont want to set yourself up for a lifetime of teste problems by not going now. It can be ANYTHING From a cyst, or dare i say it, Cancer. Either way, its Important to know and get it taken care of. Dont be embarrased. You CAN ask your parents to wait outside while you talk to the doctor. I dont know about the right to know laws and Doctor patient Privledge at 14, but they may be able to keep it confidential, but i DO SUGGEST SPEAKING TO YOUR PARENTS! I know planned parenthood does a lot of Screenings for Girls, Im not so certain about boys/men. Do youself a favor, Get it checked, and get it checked now. Every day that goes by may be one less day to treat it.

I really doubt you have 3 testicles. Causes of a painless testicular lump are hydrocele (fluid collection in the scrotum), varicocele, spermatocele, loop of bowel from a hernia, and testicular cancer. You are pretty young for a testicular cancer. See the link below. Follow the link and read about hydrocele. If you can trans-illuminate the lump with a flash light, it is probably a fluid filled mass.

The best thing to do is see a doctor. Don't be embarrassed by your condition. I'd rather you be safe and have it evaluated.

BTW, I am a physician.

You need to go to the doctor ASAP. You don't want to put it off till later just in case it is something bad. You shouldn't feel nervous. Doctors are there to help. Not make fun of you.

It could be a hydrocele, but you really should have a doctor see it. Believe me, you won't have anything the doctor hasn't seen before.

could be a TUMOR, or something way more serious, if you don't see a doctor you could end up losing the whole "family jews". just go. it may be embarassing, not as embarassing as having no nuts.

damn boi, you got it going on! or then again, it could be cancer (i doubt it at your age), or a hernia. at least have it checked by your school doctor or nurse.
