Because people don't really know the answer so they came up with theory that make sense for them.

We think it's a fact because we can see and measure all of the evidence that says it -is- a fact.
It's certainly the case that the 'rules' (Laws of Physics) were established at the instant of the 'Big Bang' and are the ones that we still see running the Universe today. And, if those laws were aven a tiny bit different than they are, then the Universe (as we see it today) simply wouldn't exist. It may well be the case that the 'Big Bang' wasn't the only one. If you believe that 'God' created the Universe, then 'God' may have had a string of rather spectacular failures -before- getting it right. (That doesn't bode well for a 'God' that's omniscient, does it?)
And if 'God' created us, why? 'God' is omniscient and all-knowing. Does 'God' need a race of mortals to worship 'God'? (You may have noticed that I -refuse- to use a pronoun for 'God'. To do so wuld, in any language, imply a gender. And there is supposed to be only -one- God, so why would 'God' even -have- a gender?)
And the anthropomorphised 'God' (that seems to be the 'standard issue' amongst Christions) has characteristics which are far more 'humanlike' than 'Godlike'. In fact, the 'God' of the Old Testament has the manners, morals, and mores of a badly spoiled six-year old.
If that's the case and we were, in fact, created in 'Gods' image, it might go a rather long way towards explaining why we, as a species, are so very badly fµcked up.

It is also hard to believe that an electron can be BOTH seen as a particle with mass and a definite position that can be manipulated in space (thus a television picture!) or as a wave with a definite wave length (thus the electron microscope!) but that's what the electron is. Things are what experiment and observation are, not what we want them to be.
It happens to make perfect sense that an event called the "Big Bang" occurred some 13-15 billion years ago. We can actually see the echo of the great event in the night sky. This is known as the Cosmic Background Radiation. In fact you can see this signal yourself if you tune your TV with an outside antenna (not cable) to a channel that is not carried in your area. Approximately 3-4% of the "snow" you see is actually the Cosmic Background Radiation which is radiation from the Big Bang. You may not like those facts but it just so happens that this is the way the measurements and observations are.
Evolution is occurring every day all around you.
Insects are becoming resistant to specific pesticides because genetic mutations very rarely result in a line or family of insects that are slightly more tolerant of the chemical and thus more of that family's offspring survive.
Those insects that are less tolerant die off leaving only the resistant ones. God is not needed to design in resistance.
The most important sentence in the world is, "It turns out."
It turns out that genetic mutations are responsible for the evolution of pesticide resistance in insects, bacterial resistance to antibiotics, and the size and shape of the beaks of finches on the Galapagos Islands.
God is not needed to explain the diversity of life on the Galapagos Islands or any place else on Earth.

Something that functions with reason and intelligence (such as our Universe) and with precise design can only come from someone who is reasonable, intelligent who used these reason and intelligence to design such marveling creation. The universe is too precise and too grand to just say that it all came from nothing. Nothing so precise and constant ever came from just mere chance.
Look at the buildings around and all the functioning designs and creations of humans such as automobiles and all these techy gadgets. These things function and work the way they do because they were precisely designed and programed to work that way. They were made with reason and intelligence that's why they function with so.
We have a Creator. Now, for those that say the idea or a Creator or a God is stupid just because you haven't seen any "physical" or "tangible" evidence or just because your mind cannot somehow grasp the idea of it, that's like measuring the depth of a 100 meter deep well using your two feet long rope.
How can a finite understand and/or measure the infinite?

For most people, recognizing God means recognizing submission. Of course, if we include God into the equation of Life, we have an answer for every and all things.
Yet, most people want to be "free". Literally. They let go of logic, deny their heart, and live life to the max without the chance of "parole", persay. They get so into the world, there is next to no hope for them to turn around.
They lose the hope that never leaves. They become stubborn. They refuse to accept the truth. So they die, happy to know they never cracked.
It does make perfect sense that the universe was made by a higher power, but accepting it would mean submission, and for some, that means a denial of who they truly are. Most people can't accept that until its their last resort.
To take it a step further, God aka Jesus Christ, came for the sinners without hope, and not for the rich people who can't accept the truth. God came for the sinner. Not the "perfect".
For some, it means submission. And till the end, they will never submit. Till its hopeless. Then, they come with nothing, to accept everything, even the truth. Even the truth.

Lol. Once you actualy find out the tiny details about the thoeries, it actualy starts to make sense. You see, gravity causes things to come together and form planets and suns and w/e. One thoery of life's origins is that it came spontanously. And it actualy makes sense when you find out the reasoning behind it. It took atleast a billion years AFTER the formation of earth. Carbon atoms bonded with other ones, making more complex molecules. These molecules are more stable, and so they last longer than others. Then they are attracted to polar places, which gathers all those molecules together and make more complex bonds. They then form a self replicating RNA which has the potential to mutate. The one that mutates to the one more easily to survive will continue to replicate, while the others will die out.
Of course this is just 1 theory that scientists gravitate towards. Creationism isn't ruled out, but they just can't think of a way to test it. BUt they have simulated the environment of an early earth, and molecules did form that are perfectly capable of forming life.

You are being ignorant.
Not everyone believes in a creator. For example, I believe that evolution is a more likely theory that some higher power out there. You have to accept the belief of others.
Besides there is fact to prove the evolution theory. Is there fact to prove a creator?

Have you ever though that we just came from a computer? Like, think about it, our 'god', 'all creator' could just very well be a 14 year old in the year 2200 with a computer program. I know it sounds ridiculous but, by the rate human technology is increasing right now, by 2020 we would ALREADY have a computer that has AI technology equal to humans. and by 2200 we'd very well have a program that makes a virtual world with 3billion people with AI technology equal to a human.
Scary huh?

Someone may argue, “If the universe needs a cause, then why doesn’t God need a cause; who created God?” The answer is, everything that has a beginning has a cause; God, unlike the universe, did not have a beginning. Time is linked to matter and space (as we can see from Einstein’s general relativity). If God created the universe, then He created time along with matter and space. If God created time, then He is outside of time and doesn’t need a beginning.
Are we the ones with blind faith? Where you there when something popped into existence from nothing and exploded? No, well do you see something pop into existence from nothing today? Were you there when non-living matter gave rise to life? No, well do you see non-living matter giving rise to life today? Where you there when single-celled organisms gave rise to many-celled organisms, when invertebrates gave rise to vertebrates, when ape-like creatures gave rise to man? No, well do you see it happening today? You have to believe that matter came into existence by itself and then arranged itself into information systems by blind chance. That is what goes against real science.
So why do so many people believe in evolution? It’s simple, most people believe what they want to believe and they don’t want there to be a God. You see, if God created us, then He also owns us. If He owns us, then He has a right to set the rules by which we must live. If He has set the rules by which we must live, then we are accountable to Him. They don’t want to be accountable to God; they don’t want to be controlled. And so, it is their desire to explain the origin of everything without a Creator at all costs; they MUST believe in evolution. Evolutionism then, is intrinsically an atheistic religion—the religion of secular humanism.

A dog can't figure out television. Does that make CNN a god? Our brains are only two million years old and designed for life in the woods, not for philosophy or even science (try imagining 11 dimensions). Believe in god or CNN. It doesn't make much difference in the long run.

Evolution is not a fact, it's the most compelling explanation for the observations that we have any evidence for. Jumping to a supernatural explanation is using CAVE MAN logic to explain the unknown and is irrational.
