I was hitting the teen years in the 70's and had lots of fun then and in the 80's...man, wish those days would come back. Life was pretty good back then, even without cell phones, cable or satellite TV and computers. Bought my first muscle car in 75...a 69 Dodge Charger RT 440 for 800.00..what a steal compared to what you get today and gas was ok at 60 cents a gallon. Music was great, no terrorists, Vietnam was over. You would have had a great time being 23 in the 80's...at least over here.

I was 23 in 1983.It was an era of new romantics and punks.I was not into those scenes but i know what you mean.I would have liked to have been born in 1940 so i would have had my 20's in the 60's.I am a bit of a hippy and would have adored all the flower power and woodstock scene.I'm too old now to dress in kaftans and grow my hair long but i do have a hippy outlook and dress as diverse as i can.I was a teenager in the 70's.Oh and those were the day's.Oxford Bag trousers, big lapels and David Bowie and T-Rex at the school disco.Heaven.. despite the acne.

The seventies was fantastic. The most exciting innovative decade in history.
The eighties were pants. Bad music, bad fashion, and nothing but ponses trying to ram political correctness down your throat. Not to metion all the wannabe yuppies carrying round FAKE mobile phones the size of a housebrick. Nightclubs stop being fun, AIDS, mindless drinking, designer labels, non-competitive sport for kids. I had a great time at university away from the nonsense, but the mainstream world sucked.

I was born in the middle 50s and I loved the 70s but I was busy getting married and having children. But I know what you mean the music scene was great and so was the fashion.
Yet I still would like to be your age, my brain tells me I am still 25 but sadly the mirror reminds me every day, and so do my kids.
You have so much to look forward to and create and time seems to be endless for you........Dress in whatever you like my daughters wardrobe is quite similiar to what I use to wear way back then. I am sorry I never kept all the clothes I used to wear because I now see some of the designs in Primark.(maxi dresses ect.) So "rock on tommy" and "flower power for ever".

i was 20 in 1975 and the whole of the 70s and 80s was the best time of my life,i gave birth to my 3 daughters from 75 to 82 and was still young enough to enjoy the rest of the 80s,the music, the fashion, hairstyles now when i look back i laugh,as styles just repeat themselves, the same ones all come round again, and i wore them the first time round,i now see we are back into the 40s and 50s style which was actually all in in the 80s its mad

Personally I wish I was born around 1960, the 60's would have been the best time to experience childhood, and the 70's would be a pretty good follow up.

the fifties, sixties, seventies and eighties were good decades. Each has it's values and to those of us who grew up during those times, I think, it was fun and rewarding. I will say this though. I think the seventies produced some of the most under achieving bunch of people in this country (USA) In my opinion, the majority of them were and still are below average in intelligence and productivity. I think if you look really close, most of their children are not much more advanced than they are. I think it is evident that the majority of them are obese and dull minded. Look at the kids and see the parents..they are like minded.. in the sixties and seventies there was no such thing as gothe, dragons and vampires.. if you wanted to see zombies you had to attend a movie.. today all you have to do is go to a mall.. they have pins in their heads, bolts through their noses, idiotic names, tattoos everywhere, and their pants down around their knees.. some of those kids are more stupid than their parents. yes those eras were good for me and others..but I am not so sure that they were good for the future of America.
