Don't be embarrassed! You are taking control of your destiny by buying condoms...it shows that you are mature enough to consider your future and that of your partner, surely no one will judge you for that. If I saw a young man buying condoms in the store I would think he knew what he was doing, I definitely would not think anything bad!!!

If you are in high school you might be able to get some from the school nurse for free. You could buy them online too! Or you can just not have sex (dumb answer I know). A lot of times buying condoms is not a big deal if may feel like people are staring but that is just you being insecure about the situation. People don't stare half as much as they do when they see teenagers who are parents.

Um, how old are you? I worked as a cashier at a Wal-Mart for two years and I don't think I ever "looked at someone funny" because they were buying condoms. Be glad the condoms aren't in a locked case like they are at my local Walgreens! Seriously, you have nothing to be embarassed about. You want embarassment? Buy an enema.

Having sex, and more importantly safe sex, is nothing to be ashamed about.
However I offer this one word of caution, if you're not ready to announce that you're having sex to the world by buying condoms, perhaps you need to rethink having sex.
Outside of that, just realize that it's like every other "embarassing" product that you buy, you're not the only one that buys it. And if you pay attention to those behind you, I'm sure that most of them have at least one.
It's a world of tampons, ultra heavy flow maxi pads, hemorrhoid creams, male enhancement pills, lice remover, condoms, etc. Everyone has to buy these things at one point or another. Even if it's not for their own use.
And in 10 years of buying these "embarassing" items, I've yet to have anyone say anything. Even when I picked up more than one "embarassing" item from the list at a time.

why should u be embrassed when you are buying condoms?
if you feel like they are gonna be weird then go to a sex shop, you wont be looked at like a freak when u buy condoms.
oh and for the people behind you, they really probably dont care, and if they do, they wish they were gonna buy some too, and are jealous they don't have any use for them, lol.
really its not embrassing at all, its a quick in and out thing, get them and pay, oh and if u see that the line is long wait till it thins out or buy some other things and toss the condoms in last.
or get them at the pharmacy in the back of the store, geez
sounds like a lot of things to do to avoid nothing.

You're best to just slip them in with some other items: Shampoo, Toothpaste, Hair Gel, Orange Juice, Twix Bar, Comb, Condoms, Haemmorhoid Ointment, Latex Gloves, Fishnet Stockings, Bedsocks, Facial Scrub. That way nobody will bat an eyelid. I've rarely bought them although I did once get excited and buy a big multi-pack!! :) :0

Ok, assuming you're very young....I used to be a cashier at a very popular supercenter and it wasn't the young boys buying condoms that need to be embarrassed. It was the 80 year old geezers that really got me. LOL So, look, sex is a part of life and if you are doing it, at least you're trying to be responsible. EVERYONE buys condoms at one point or the other. Don't stress about it.

Unless you live a very small town, it's highly unlikely that any of the people in line behind you have the slightest idea who you are. If you do see someone you know, just act like you forgot something and leave the line. Come back after a few minutes.
If you're easily embarrased by strangers, then I have no help for you.

Yuck. That would be awful in a small town like mine. Not that I anticipate being in this predicament any time soon, but I would have to go out of the county to find a store in which I didn't personally know the cashier...

Are you in a close-knit community? Then there's no escaping the attention, I'm afraid. Is the checkout person your neighbour?
Truthfully, there's only one way to do it: go in, buy it, go out. Or you can always put on a mask or something, but that will definitely give the wrong impression.
