i beilieve that they are but i want to get some other peoples opinion on it. i know that the vampires from like the books and movies are not real but ya. also if they are real then is it possible to actually know/meet a vampire? *i really want to! haha :] so if there is a vampire reading this..i would like to talk to u like over e-mail or something!! hehe XD*

Depends what you mean by Vampire.
-The movie type, no.
- Psychic vampires.... lots of them around, some accidental, some deliberate.
- People who drink blood,... well if you can imagine a behavior it is likely there are people who do it.

Psychic vampires are real, and it's absolutely possible to know and meet one. You may already know one, actually, but he/she is unlikely to admit it.
I'd say, if you want to talk to a vampire, don't do it here. Go to Sanguinarius's site or any number of others. Most of them are linked to each other. Most also require you to register before you can participate in the forums, but it's usually for free.
I'm not a vampire myself, but there are quite a few vampires here on Yahoo Answers. I've run into a lot of them answering questions like this. Sadly, though, our voices are often overshowed by those who either haven't been enlightened or just don't believe. So, I wish you luck on your quest.

I'm pretty the vampire legend began from stories about the terrible things that Vlad the Impaler, a real person, did. There's a lot of misguided kids out there who like 'goth' and think they are vampires, but there's no evidence anywhere that real vampires actually exist.

nicely for one, garlic, crosses do not even harm vampires. show screen writers made that up looong in the past. And vampires have a mirrored image. The manifest in photos. Secondly, in the journey that your a vampire, then your fang tooth or w.e would be significant sharp. :P And thirdly, you won't belive, yet im a vampire. I knew someone who got high and bit a chunk out of some dude's neck, she said she was a vampire....But the sunlight from the mental hospital she was sent to didn't kill her....maybe she was really old, like the Anne Rice novels, or maybe she was just a douche bag, I can't say for sure....

I think they are, but not like the movies. You see, demons like to trick the living into thinking that the dead have come back to haunt them. Demons may impersonate a dead human's soul or possess a corpse. When demons possess corpses, I see no reason why they couldn't make the corpse bite someone's neck and drink that someone's blood. But don't be alarmed, because you wouldn't eventually turn into a vampire.

well, according to practical knowledge, if there were vampires in the elder years, then we would all be vampires now and the human race would have been depleted a long time ago however, I love vampire stories and movies ......what can I say.
