Mattel designs its toys, but Mattel does not tell Chinese manufacturers to use lead in the toys. Chinese government's argument that its toys contain lead because Mattel designs the toys is irrelevent. What do you think?

The Chinese communist government has a tendency of telling lies. It believes that a lie would become truth if you could tell it one hundred times.

Mattel designs toys. Chinese manufacturers only want to maximize profits and do not care about the safety and reputation of their products.

They didn't blame Mattel for the lead. What they complained about was that not all the toys recalled were because of lead paint. Some were recalled for design flaws, but Mattel did not differentiate these recalls, so the lead paint seemed much more widespread than it really was.

Mattel did formally apologize for this.
