The way they see it is winning. The impeachment could back fired and also it would be a pain. All the info needed is either classified, destroyed, or very hard to get. If they go for it and do not impeach most likely they will lose 08 but if they let that slide 08 would be a breeze. Or so they think.

The guts to face the own constituents. They know that if Bush is impeached, there will be a trail, and the people will know that the Democrats were guilt too.
The Democrats in Congress read the same reports about Iraq as the administration. They voted, almost to a man, to give Bush a blank check to go war. They either:
A) saw the same threat and felt that we need to intervene, and are now using that war and public opinion on it for political power.
B) were afraid of public opinion at that time, and voted to give Bush authority even though they did not believe there was a real threat.
Either way, I charge the Democrats in Congress with lying to the American people. At least, Bush is a true believer. Democrats are just manipulating the system.

He'd have to commit a punishable crime first. You can't just impeach somebody because you don't agree with them or dislike them. Why do liberals always flap their lips with stupidity? Read up on the law and regulations before you go regurgitating stupid sound bites...

how many liberals here lose sleep because bush hasn't done anything impeachable? if they...the congress could impeach...they would....
they can't....that in itself should tell you something....

do you want Cheney a president? If we get them both, then Pelosie will be accused of a power grab. Its a tough situation, but I still think they should both be impeached!
