"Today over 100,000 United States troops invaded France, killing over 30 French civilians and creating what some would call an environmental disaster off the coast of Normandy, in an effort to engage German forces who the Roosevelt Administration admits had nothing to do with the attacks on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The United States suffered an estimated 29,000 casualties during the attack with over 106,000 wounded. More casualties are expected due to Washington's unwillingness to negotiate with Adolf Hitler, while French officials denounced the US led attack, insisting that they were close to a compromise with German occupying forces." -Dan Rather, CBS
