Recently, I've been having two temperatures: either extremely hot or extremely cold. It seems that I get hot if I move around, such as walking or standing. But, I become extremely cold if I don't move, such as when I sleep or sit. What could be causing this? I was literally so cold when I woke up this morning that I could barely get out of bed. Bare in mind, these things happen when other people are comfortable, so it's not that it's actually cold or hot.

You can rule out menopause...I'm not even near that time.

See a doctor. It could be a host of problems and no one here has the credentials to diagnose you.

It sounds like it could be a circulatory issue, blood pressure or a thyroid problem. But that is my uneducated guess. You really shouldn't take advice from someone who learned medicine from watching HOUSE. haha. Or, in that case, it's probably something very rare and exotic. Maybe like Lyme Disease.

Seriously, be prepared to tell the doctor if you have having any other symptoms.

How old are you, and how long has this been going on for? Hot and cold flushes can be a result of altering hormones when going through menopause. Even if you are a younger woman, I would ask for a hormone check. I have a friend who was peri-menopausal (starting menopause) at 24!
If its short term, it could be the flu, or another infection, but either way a trip to your GP is advisable.

It could be several different things. Are you healthy or not? Meaning, are you fit, overweight, sedentary. Do you drink alcohol, use drugs, on medications? Bottom line, go to a doctor. Low blood pressure can lead to being cold. High blood pressure can lead to being hot. What percentage body fat do you have? Diet can also play a huge role. Be aware that your heart rate when you first wake up is called your resting heart rate. This is the best time to take your initial heart rate, and then compare it to after you have done physical activity. Also, test how long it takes for your heart to return to this resting heart rate after doing physical activity. This can tell you whether or not you may have an issue with your heart. Again, TALK TO A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. It is better to be safe than sorry. Also, check out the link below.
