That if you rub your windshield wiper with a sliced onion, that it will stay clear on a rainy day?
That now they use a quarter instead of a penny, to determine if you need to get new tires. If you can see, George's head - it's time.

The acid in the onion will remove the oily road film from the windshield. If you are without an onion a Coke, Pepsi or orange juice will do the same. I’ve also found that a wad of newspaper with Window cleaning spray works well to remove the bugs.

Also vinegar is excellent for cleaning the wiper blades which is what i use. Need to try the onion tho. I've noticed too that if you eat the onion people will stay clear of you.

You said windshield WIPER Not WINDSHIELD glass in case anyone misunderstood. That RAIN-X stuff works really well on the windshield glass......water runs off and don't even need the wipers.

Yep heard that, but have yet to try it out! My windshield needs a serious cleaning due to my smoking in the car! lol Tires are OK because I'm anal about tires and only 'wear' the Michelins that came on my sports model!

Here in Southern California, we would love to have a reason to use that onion! We have not had significant rain in three years. Very bad, very very bad. Soon, they will be placing water restricitions, and there goes my wonderful Hawaiian yard. Sad.

I didn't know about the onion. I have a couple books with information like this and common kitchen cures for aliments. With my allergies, anything like that I can use is a plus. Thanks.

Thanks, I will try it. I do use "Rain X". I am surprised at how well it works. I didn't know about the quarter. I will have to measure it and see how much of a change there is.

Thanks. I did not know that. I use Rain-X.
I also found out that rubbing an onion on your kitchen faucets (steel) will clean them well.
Also, rubbing you hands on the kitchen faucets if you have an uniony smell on your hands, it will take it away.
Thanks for the windshield tip.
