I know myself very well and at times I frighten even myself. It took a long time to get where I am now, loving myself and really knowing who I am. I am happy with who I am but facing the tragedies I had in the past was soooo painful to understand and accept. I have gotten past that and can look back and remember the good times and not the bad anymore. It's wonderful and awesome to know "yourself"

I would say that I am learning more all the time. When I was younger I thought I was very self-aware, but I have found, to quote an old song, "the more I know the less I understand." I think the Socratic act of Knowing Thyself is meant to be an ongoing process.

I would say that I'm just beginning to get to know myself. I spent so much time concerned about other people ad doing things just to be accepted that I didn't take time for myself to get to know myself. And now that I've learned from those mistakes I'm just learning who I am and what my own fears and happinesses are and I'm still discovering.

we don't know ourselves any better than our closest friends and family do. our interests, likes, dislikes... are always changing based on the experiences that we have. sometimes it's a lack of experience that drives what we think we like or don't like... but once we experience it for a first time, or maybe a fifth time, we may change our mind.
i love to snorkel and dive... but if i got bit by a shark or some other vicious animal, i may no longer like my aquatic activities
i've never been skydiving, but if i do go, it may become my new favorite activity (as opposed to snorkeling/diving).

we don't know what our experiences will lead us to. but they shape our likes, dislikes, desires, needs, interests... on a day to day basis. we are constantly changing based on so many environmental experiences... how can we know what will effect our own desires of tomorrow.

I'd like to think i know myself quite well, but we're learning all the time so sometime we might like to alter a few things about ourselves/personality.

honestly? not well at all. If you put me in an entirely new situation, I have absolutely no idea how I would react.

But..in ten years or so, I hope that I would know by then.
