At what point is the value of human life more important than killing a few "suspected" insurgents because you can't wait for a more opportune time?

And doesn't "suspected terrorists" mean they think they might be insurgents. So we are killing people and blowing stuff up over speculation of terror these days?

Man - this is complete madness.

Kill everyone in Iraq as long as we make a point to a few hundred al-Qaida members

Where is the morality.

And I have to ask - Was Blackwater involved?

Here it is hot off the presses

BAGHDAD - A U.S. attack killed 19 insurgents and 15 civilians, including nine children, northwest of the capital Thursday — one of the heaviest civilian death tolls in an American operation in recent months.

war sucks.Every soldier knows this.We don't want to see people die at our hands. In no war has the civilian population NOT suffered casualties. This is how wars are won. It sucks. If a populace allows combatants to hide among them, they risk death. War is not the polite exchange of ideas that Americans have come to expect. The United States is the only republic that was founded on a constitution our forefathers designed. We have been raised on them. Don't expect a cat to love a dog because it makes sence to the more powerful dog. Not everyone has good judgement and values. Cleveland, Columbine and Virginia Tech. just to name a few. Do you think police WANT to shoot at perps? At this point in time we still have the right to talk and debate ideas. Most dictators, socialist and facists don't have the PATIENCE to discuss and they resort to violence,or "government control" over free speech. We,the military, past and present, fight for and defend your right to say and do what you want within reason. In Iraq they are protecting you from a terrorist training base and protecting as best as possible Iraqi democracy. People die in war. To make the west a war free zone is to invite a more powerful OR MORE DETERMINED people to overthrow us. Ask Egypt, Rome, Greece, Poland, France...........

It is the soldier above all others that prays for peace, becuase it is the soldier that must carry the scars of war.

Just because children were killed doesn't mean they were innocent. A bullet fired from an AK-47 in the hands of a child is just as effective as a bulllet fired from an AK-47 in the hands of a man.

We are at war, people get killed, yes, even innocent children.
This is why normal people try to avoid war, so why don't the insurgents give up?
Because they don't care about how many children they hide behind and get killed.
But let us bless those children for their sacrifice.

What a tool.

I wonder if you would be complaining this much when those 19 insurgents each set off theirs bombs in public places and kill 150 others.

It seems like you're having problems dealing with reality.

well if the muslim "warriors" would quit hiding behind the skirts of women and using children as human shields then maybe these things wouldn't happen.

They have a name for that kind of thing and it's a euphimism really, it's "collateral damage." We can not confirm or deny whether or not those "suspected terrorists" were actual terrorists, but I can almost guarantee you that they'll be counted in the monthly tallies for how many "insurgents" US troops killed in action. We have lost the lives of over 3,800 American soldiers. Almost 30,000 have been wounded. God knows how many more soldiers lives have been lost due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and almost 70,000 innocent Iraqi men, women and children have been killed. When is enough enough?

This is why I think war is stupid. I mean c'mon people...it's 2007. I thought that by know humanity would have evolved enough to solve problems without violence...but no...world leaders love going to war. And that goes for all types...left and right.
