Indeed. To my mind it's a combination of poor education and a distinct lack of giving a toss.

I learned to accept the horrible spelling years ago. What drives me crazy now is the absolutely rotten grammar. Some questions that people post on here, you just can't answer because they don't make slightest bit of sense! And I know that some people are new to English, and some people are dislexic, and I have dealt with both. The people I'm talking about are all Georges and I'm havening a hard time making sense of them!

"Not realy, its just a hole lot easier to tipe and not pay attension to the spellin, its almust a languige in it self. De shortning of words is not so bad(like: lol, idk)."

And granted yes there are some people who genuinely can't spell, 'butt its a ole lot esier to tipe this way'

I agree entirely. It's like they don't even try to spell anymore or even care about phonetics. I don't know if it's laziness or they really don't know how to spell. It's actually scary.
