I am 20 I'm making a trip to California and need a rental car, I don't have anyone out there who is 21 years or older. Do you know of a place who rents to people between the ages of 18-20.

There are a lot of places that rent cars, but since you are only 20 years old, you have very limited choices. There are only two places which will rent to you that I know. "Fox Rent A Car" has a minimum age of 21. But if you are on Government orders, they will let you rent at a minimum age of only 18. Be sure to check if it is unlimited milage or not. "Bargain Auto Rentals" has a minimum age of 18, but they are not unlimited milage; they only allow you 150 free miles per day and they charge 15 cents per mile over that. They are both located in San Diego near the airport and are both open 7 days a week.

I dont think 21 years is even a minimum age to rent a car. Most places is 25 years old. But there is good and bad news to your situation. Most rental car places will let you rent a car as long as your 18 years of age BUT they double the freakin cost!!! put it under your parents name or something or go through your insurance company...

Sadly, I don't know of anyone who does rent to someone under 21, but I would call Enterprise Rent A Car. They are probably the only car rental companies out of the major companies, who allow you to pay with cash. I have had wonderful service from Enterprise and have used them many times, as has my husband, who also has high praises for them. They are not the cheapest, but they are also not expensive. They are lower cost compared to some of the other ones out there. As for customer service, I think you would be happy with them. As for whether or not they would rent to you if you are 20, that's hard to say. Still, because they allow people to pay with cash (you have to pay a large deposit, which is returned when the car is returned), they might have lower age restrictions as well. Good luck.
