Curious - I know there are a gazillion suggestions on meeting folk of like interests, backgrounds etc...Tried them all...lol
Having grown up in the ole skool so to speak I tend to draw away from men at work...Dad used to tell me "don't dip your pen in the company inkwell!' ...lol

take up bowling so you'll sit and watch if you cant bowl. dont be afraid to strike out on your own. Who knows some lonely man might be sitting at the next table drop your purse and mention your athritus in your knee and hey who knows//////

Well I say never lose hope, if you really want to have another mate you will meet someone.
I have had a few dates since my divorce but really I like the life of a single. Then again I think we all need someone.

Quit an intriguing question! Man is a social animal! So; Y not! He or She could never be an Island unless & otherwise one pretends to shy away from intimate relationship for the reason best known to an individual!
My ideology: "Don't go through life, grow through life."

No. Like you I never remarried. I have other responsibilities that would get in the way of serious dating at the moment. I sometimes want a mate and sometimes I am glad I am single. I am not sure I can find someone who won't mind repeating himself because of my hearing. lol Still I tell myself - it could happen.

I don't like the dating scene and all the places you can meet people thru the internet do not thrill me either, so no I do not date. Do I want a mate? I don't need a mate, but it would be nice to have one in my life again.

I agree with your Dad. I heard it put a little differently, but same meaning. If you break up, which you probably will, you still work together. It's a very uncomfortable situation.
Try finding men with similar interests. Are you religious? Do you like animals, horticulture, political causes?

I'm not a senior yet and I don't have the go-get power anymore. I have admiration for people but should it ever come down to it, I have no real zest to start all over.
