i disagree with the person above, i believe they should contact the United States first because they are more prepared for such an event.. because common who is ruling the world. and last maybe Nigeria or some other African country, because it will be a waste of time for the aliens.

P.S. the topic is interesting i wonder who will win... GO THE U.S.

The Last one should be America. We are blaming aliens from this world for all the problems we (The Bush Administration and Big Business) created. Can you imagine if they had an actual alien from another world? They would probably argue that dissection is not considered torture.

The best would be Sweden because they have the best relationship with the most countries. They would be the most likely to actually welcome aliens who may be able to offer us advancement that we really need such as healing powers.

Right now if aliens came here and were deciding if we were ready to join the galaxy of advanced worlds, they would take one look at us and say maybe in 500-600 years they will be ready. They would say these people voted for an idiot and let him destroy their society without objection from a majority of their people. They are not intelligent enough! If they came for research into taking over our planet, they would say piece of cake! They would start with the US stating "these people voted for an idiot and let him destroy their society without objection from a majority of their people. They stood by and watched their economy be destroyed and their infrastructure crumble while some people made a bunch of money. So we will just get these people who want all the money to continue to destroy their country for profits and then we will just get rid of them. It shall be easy because they do not actually know how to do anything productive. They just con others to do their dirty work.. So once they continue to destroyed their own country, we will just wipe them out!

Aliens from a distant galaxy have no interest in us, apparently. Otherwise they would be here now.
UFO reports are usually phony.
If anything, the aliens must have come to earth long ago, when mankind was young. See the movie Chariots of the Gods.

They are here, and have been for thousands of years. They generally don't make a big deal out of contacting particular leaders. "Take me to your leader" is science fiction. Read "Communion" by Whitley Strieber. You might find it fascinating whether you believe in ET or not.

This is a truth or what I thought I saw one day on C-SPAN. Dick Chaney was adressing the House and for a brief instance his face turned reptilian. Scared the s hit out of me.

I totally disagree with the first answer. The French would just duck and run. They have never faced up to anything in their history. Bring on the thumbs down.

I do not think they would meet with world leaders. It would most likely be someone not involved in politics. It could be you, or me. Or Joe Smoe

I don't think they would care much for our politics, if they even "noticed" it. And I think we Earthlings would be so shocked, that we would [temporarily] unite in the face of E.T.
