Depends... a basic calculator you would just use division and would get a decimal answer. Some advanced calculators allow for fractions to be entered and also can display answers as fractions, but its different with each calculator.

I dont know what calculator you have but if you don't have a graphing calculator you gotta type in numerator divided by denominator
ex: type in 1 / (divided by) 3 to get .33333333 etc.

i got a graphing calculator (TI-84) and i press the MATH button, then frac. which means fraction when i have a decimal to get a fraction
