The Americans have sacrified their honour for just a few armenians who paid bribes to some congressmen...
What a pity...
Imagine what would think Abraham Lincoln and George Washington if they were alive now....

do you know that Yahoo! answer flows all over the internet? absolutely everyone which could study English, can study your question. Are you a overseas coverage expert? No. in basic terms somebody with an opinion. in case you had a PhD is overseas coverage, you will not be asking this way of lame question. ok. i'm gonna anticipate you're conversing approximately American Congress and Democrats. first of all, u . s . has NO Allies interior the area. till you advise Israel. it relatively is relatively one allie we could constantly do without. Insults? lol u . s . insults many counties, religions, philosophies, ideologies, etc on a on a daily basis bases. maximum the worlds leaders are use to those insults. American leaders, of their happy lack of expertise, basically proceed on, making errors, insulting and frequently messing issues up. So, blaming Congress or Democrats or Republicans is an absolute waste of time. i might advise you soak up a pastime. perhaps basket weaving.

There is no may have happened. The massacre of the Armenians has been recorded historically, and was genocide by any honest definition. Read William Saroyan or Kurt Vonnegut on the subject. As for offending our Turkish allies, their reaction shows that they would do it again, and to our Kurdish allies as well.
That having been said, who are the United States of America to protest genocide? How would we react if Canada passed a motion condemning the wanton murder of the American aboriginals? Perhaps both Republican and Democrat should stop to consider that their own hands are dipped in that same bucket of blood.

It's not really all the congressional democrats, rather just a couple who want to condemn the Turks for committing genocide. This incident was over 90 years ago, and I don't think it's going to pass... It would be an insult to one of our better allies at the moment.

It doesn't matter when it happened or which of our allies did it, what matters is that it was done and it was never acknowledged. Was the Holocaust a genocide? Absolutely. Should we have denied it happened? or never acknowledge it to begin with? What about Nanking, China in WWII? Another holocaust never acknowledged by America. You can't change the past and if acknowledging the mistakes of America's past and making amends for those mistakes helps bring peace of mind to some and angers others, well there's not much we can do about it. Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it and right is right even if no one is doing it.

What do you expect? They hate ANYTHING that makes sense for America. If that means insulting allies, so be it.
You don't 'apologize' for ancient history while current problems are still on the table.

'our Turkish allies, who have been supporting us?'
Holy God!
How low has the US gone to have to go tippy-toeing around a country like Turkey for fear of 'offending' someone?
A 'genocide' is a 'genocide'.
FYI, Turkey is not an 'ally' of the US. Turkey is looking out for Turkey and Islam. And never forget it. Like Pakistan.
Just like the US has been doing for decades: Looking out for the US!
Last word:
Bush has really brought the US to a pathetic state.

Yes, I do know about it. It's insulting to think that they would blame the Turks over something that didn't even occur. It was WWI for God's sake, tons of people were killed...Turks AND Armenians.

The Dems wish to make the execution of the Iraq war more difficult by causing Turkey to disallowing the use their country as a staging area for our troops and equipment.
I also think they want to do what's right in regards to the genocide, but this is just killing two birds with one stone.

Yeppers. Makes a lot of sense doesn't it. It's getting rather funny. They don't want us to be in Iraq, they don't want us to inflame Iran...yet they want to invade Pakistan (Obama) and insult Turkey. LOL
