This is a website that actually tries to claim that government is good and is a "vital" institution. Of course, anybody who makes arguments as absurd as these (and the person running it is a Marxist professor at Mount Holyoke of course) will inevitably make arguments so absurd that they are funny.
I don't think we need to rebut this nonsense (it is so absurd that no rational person would believe it), but it makes for a good laugh.

Extreme right wing Republicans love to talk about how government is evil and how it must be reduced. The communists used to believe their philosophy would eventually lead to the withering away of government, That means neocon Republicans and communists have the same goal

What is Marxist about a site that extols the virtues of a democratic government? I kind of like democracy. Your statement doesn't make any sense to me.

What I find funny is that people like him, who are supposedly SOO educated don't realize that they are arguing for the redefinition of what our Forefathers intended our country to be.
