You have nothing to fear here. The only reason i'd dig round is to find your phone or address and contact you to let you know the wallet is on it's way.
That has happened to me a few times. Each time, my purse was returned in the same condition it was found. It restored my faith in humanity.....there are some good, honest people out there.

No worries. You would get it returned to you that day with all of your contents. Nothing would be removed except a look at your identification to give you back your wallet.

I think these people are all lying. I'm keepin your wallet I'm keepin your money. I'll mail you your personal effects from the wallet, credit cards, photos etc.
