I was homesick for 11 months when I was put in a nursing home. The only thing that help me a lot was working hard in therapy, so I could be able to go back home. I had to get all of my muscles and nerves working again.
I talked to the seniors on my floor, played games, watched a lot of TV, and looked forward to my next cigarette break.
I've been home for two years now, and you know what? I miss the nursing home now.
I doubt if any of this will help you as I have know idea as to why you are homesick. Best of luck to you.

I've felt homesick before. I didn't do anything except for distract myself by never being alone. When you're alone is when it really bugs you.

Do some memorable things to remember wherever it is you are now. Make friends, and keep in touch w/ the people at home, letting them know all the interesting things you've seen and are doing.
