I am flying in and trying to decide if I should rent a car, use a shuttle service or if taking a taxi would be better. I would like to go the least expensive way. I know that either the shuttle or the taxi would be easier because I wouldnt be driving, but if renting a car would be less expensive I could go that way also ( I am pretty good with directions ) If someone has done this before or has any good ideas that would be great. Thank you.

Before you make plans, check out Cleveland Clinic's medical concierge service (link listed). They may have options or discounts not available to the general public. Good luck on your trip.

It's only about a 20 minute ride from the airport to the Clinic (I'm assuming you're heading downtown and not one of the satellite hospitals around the metro area.) It would cost anywhere between $35 - $50 for a cab each way - it was just announced in the paper that the rates are going up and I'm not sure when it goes into effect.

It might be less expensive to rent a compact car at the airport although you'd have to take parking into consideration when you're at the hospital - I don't think that there's any free parking at the Clinic. They might have rates listed on their web site. It also probably depends on how long you're going to be in town.

If there's a shuttle that isn't expensive, it might be your best bet - definitely less of a hassle.

Rapid Transit will take 45 minutes from start to finish, and it costs $3.50 to use it all day.

If this link does not lead you directly to the route that came up when I put in Hopkins and Cleveland, then go to Trip plan, and put them in by selecting Airport and then selecting Cleveland-Hopkins for your origin and Medical, Cleveland Clinic for your
destination.

There is a slight (.37 mile) walk from the station to the clinic, but it is the cheapest way to go.

I think the shuttle would be better, but if you do decide to drive please keep in mind that Cleveland is under construction, so double check your directions. Also, be aware of game days too, because everything is packed and with the construction there is a lot of detours.
