How would I go about changing my first name and middle names, but not second name. I don't think my first name suits me, and all my friends call me by my 'new' name but my birth name is still on my records. If I apply for a job, could I use my changed name, aslong as the last is the same without having to officialy change it? Hope I made sense..

it says you can change it if you simply don't like your name, and costs only £15

On official documents you must use the name on your birth certificate unless you get it legally changed......and to do that you have to consult with a lawyer because each state has different rules. This will involve lots of paperwork with the Social Security Admin. drivers license etc.

Introduce yourself with the name you like and it will stick. My name is Andrew...everyone calls me Drew and I freaking hate Andy.

My bosses name is Richard Wicker...He likes Rich..but doesn't like Dick Wicker for some reason. ;)

You can use any name you want as a nick name, however the name use don all paperwork needs to be your given name unless you have it legally changed.

I have a friend named Jack. Everyone calls him Nick. When he applied for work he used the name Jack.

you can NOT change your real name for no reason, but when you are interviewing for a job, just say my name is (real first name)(last name) and then say but i go by (new first name)
