My school play HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL IS COMING UP. I want the part of Sharpay more than one trillion dollars [sorta] It is soo important that I get it. I really enjoy singing acting and dancing since I was 2. I want the perfect audition so what
1. Song should I sing
2. What exactly should I do.
3. What if I mess up
My mom said if I get a lead part in my school play.. She will take me in to NYC to audition for a movie or tv show!! THAT WOULD BE THE BEST! I would be like the new hannah montana kind of thing!

For the role of Sharpay, I would sing a pop or theatre song with spunk and attitude. Some that come to mind are:
Born To Entertain - Ruthless
Go Into Your Dance – 42nd Street
When You Got It Flaunt It – The Producers
Amayzing Mayzie - Seussical
Miss Baltimore Crabs - Hairspray
I Want to go to Hollywood – Grand Hotel
Naughty Baby - Crazy For You
Those are all theatre obviously, but because of the style of the show you can usually choose a pop song as well.
If you mess up, stay in character and act like you meant to do that. There is a struggle in one song when Sharpay and her brother have issues with dance moves and he throws her off a bit. Use that type of reaction as to what she would do if she messed up, know what I mean? It's someone else's fault, someone sabotaged her. That could be your attitude on stage... have fun with it :-) Smile to cover it up!

First I want to say that I love High School Musical. So I feel I can give you some good tips. Okay, first, you need to sing "Fabulous" from High School Musical 2 (I know you are auditioning for High School Musical and not the second one, but "Fabulous" really shows Sharpay's personality. You need to wear something SUPER preppy. Like glittery and sparkly and with sequins. Pink. Pink. Pink. Like...I'm thinking a frou frou pink feather scarf. Haha. If you have to talk about anything mention designers [Jimmy Choo, Versace, Prada, Dooney and Bourke, Coach, Tiffany]. Try to have a fast-paced step. Very perky. If you mess up...just giggle. I think that would be good. I really hope you get this. Just think about NYC while you are auditioning and I don't think you will mess up. Good luck. I really hope I helped. 3. jus keep going cover it up no one will notice and if they do they'll like that you covered it up
