Listen to the soldiers that are there. Petrayus is just saying what he is paid to say. The military brass is following orders from the White House- who will do every thing they can to continue this endless war so they can continue making their profits and financing their little projects. War is very, very profitable, and our government is going to stretch this thing out as long as they can. The soldiers are the ones put in this situation and they know firsthand what is going on over there. It is a losing cause and they are being sent into an unnecesary and unwinnable war- but they have to follow orders and have no choice in being there. Unfortunately, they know the truth but can do nothing to change it.

The Marine Corps was not trained nor designed to be "cops" in Iraq. They are trained to puruse and kill the enemy. They'd be of much more use on the offensive in Afghanistan.

Talking to a group of the soldiers coming home they were saying we are acting as a refree between the Sunni and shiite. They both sides hate us but they hate each other more. Us being there is ridiculous.
