I'm starting a new blog soon, and I was thinking a good topic to write about would be the Post Secret books, since a new one just came out.

I think the #1 reason why they are so popular is that when we read them it makes us realize that we are not alone.

If you've ever read a Post Secret book, you know they're almost impossible to put down!

Why do you think they are so successful?!

I agree with you. It makes you feel that you aren't alone. No matter what is going on, we feel as though we are the only ones going through an ordeal. We tend to forget the larger scope of things and just exactly how many people are in this world. There are so many other people with similar ordeals, and PostSecret helps remind us of that.

I think the other part of its success is anonymity. PostSecret is a wonderful way to get something off your chest without anyone knowing who you are. Sometimes when people have problems, especially mental (I speak from experience), they don't get help just because good help isn't anonymous. In order to get help or relief, at least one other person needs to know what's going on. With PostSecret, you can express your deepest, darkest secret without anyone knowing.

And Maria B., the marketing is what helps people buy the book, but sales aren't always a measure of success. Rather, in this case, it's the millions of people who read this book cover to cover in one sitting because they can't bear to put it down.

i appreciate those ones: Married adult adult males stay longer than unmarried adult adult males, yet married adult adult males are so a lot more desirable prepared to die. a lady marries a guy awaiting he will replace, yet he would not. a guy marries a lady awaiting that she will be able to not replace & she does. a lady has the wonderful note in any argument. something a guy says after it quite is the starting up of a sparkling argument. it quite is so actual yet so humorous! i like it! and im happy i'm unmarried now! hahahahhahaha!

Because it's basically gossip. People are nosy; they like hearing the sordid little details.
