Write a tale a pair of boy who's dwelling a terrible abusive life at abode, and he is going to college/artwork/church in spite of, and falls in love with somebody, and that's basically the affection of his life. Then he reveals out he's schizophrenic and the affection of his life became all in his head. Thats so tragic. lol

try doing something that you've experienced - but not exactly. Because then you'll know what the characters are feeling but it won't be written like a diary. Or it could be something you've always wanted to do because then you'll be able to know exactly how you would feel.
