My nickname has a cool story.
I'm Greek, and when I was little I only spoke Greek- so, naturally, I responded to my Greek name- Euxaris (No, it's not pronounced how it's spelled)
When I started preschool, I knew no English, and I didn't know that my English name was Carissa. When the teachers called my name, I wouldn't respond. The teachers tried at my greek name, but I wouldn't respond to that because I didn't understand that either (yes- Their accent was that bad!).
My mom settled for Effie, which sounds like the beginning of my Greek name- and I responded to that. It's stuck with my since preschool. I introduce myself as Effie and that's how everyone knows me!

I guess I like most of my nicknames:
Cyn (from my real name)
Cady (Cat Lady)
Calico (although I've never owned a calico cat)
Mysty (from MystMoonstruck)
Crazy Cat Lady (I called myself this, and it caught on at a couple of my story forums.)

But, my absolute favorite came from my experiences in selling/trading/buying comics:
The Infamous Dr. Cyn!
Now, is that cool or what?! I consider it a major compliment considering that I'm an older woman in a male-dominated field. I'm considered a tough grader and trader, and I stand my ground.

And it truly is an prolonged tale, yet to maintain it short, i've got have been given ice in my veins on each occasion i'm playing ball, and that i've got been commonly used to entice the Iceman somewhat oftentimes besides!

When I was pregnant I was called Lisa Pees-alot. And I worked with someone and he hurt his leg really bad and walked with a bad limp after that. We started calling him Sir Limps-alot. Yes, the same people came up with both of our nicknames. They are single minded creatures.
