Hey,
Welcome to the Leaf's Nation, the biggest hockey team fan nation in the entire North America. This is actually a reality for people who didn't know but main point nice to have you here!
Sundin is the captain and yes he is awesome in his own degree, as he brings a jolt that only few can understand. They are off to a bad start but they need to regain their ground and stand strong. Their defence need to stand up and help toskala if he is to be the future goalie star for the leafs.
Sundin needs to break his all time "overtime" goals, as he holds the most in the entire NHL, and maybe with that, Captain Clutch will hopefully get us to the playoffs.
Thats the big thing about being a leafs fan, Maria, we hope even in dying situation and I am not sure but i see another fan who is hoping for that too this season.

I THINK I understand Leaf lore. I've only been an NHL fan since 1996 (when business made me move to Detroit). As a Green Bay Packer fan in the NFL, I respect the fan support they have regardless of the success of the team. That they are not some stupid expansion counts. (and I'm a Wild season ticket holder). The Leafs are my favorite team in the east because of history and grit. I like Kaberle, Sundin, Tucker, Peca--wait, he's not a leaf now, Ponikorovsky, McCabe, and just about everyone but Raycroft. He is WAY too inconsistant!

On behalf of all Leafs fans, I'd just like to say that she does not represent the majority. Most Leafs fans know how to spell their own captain's name and they have a healthy dose of reality on the team. Actually, that last part was a load of crap, I'm sorry. As long as Peddie is in charge and keeps Ferguson employed, Sundin (notice the lack of the letter E) will never win a Cup in Toronto.

u detroit fans are FAKE fans- guarentee the two peolpe who replied that they are red wings fans started liking them because they were good and had the money to buy a shitload of highpriced veterans.... theyre still god with the salary cap but the leafs'll take it to em....we're just off to a rough start.. haven't beat the isles in the last three times we faced em but i think they'll come out hard after the embarassment on tuesday... go leafs go

By the way, there's no E on Sundin. And last game I don't think they tried. 29 NHL teams were out of action that night. My team wasn't one of them.
