You have described me to perfection.

Isn't it great NOT to fit in a box? The drones live by a one size fits all mentality. They actually think that blind unfettered devotion to a particular politician and/or party is the solution to every ill in the nation.

This is America, you can be for or against anything you want to. But be careful about examining the logical consistency in your set of beliefs. Example, most people in America who are killed with guns are killed with hand guns, not assault weapons. The assault weapons ban was put forward as a wedge issue that was focus group, pole tested, by anti-gun rights groups. The theory is that since they can not get people too surrender their gun rights all at once, They focus on individual kinds of guns.

I am all of those things. The weight that you put on each issue probably determines who you vote for.

I would classify myself as a Democrat, because I believe that the Dems support middle class workers and consumers more than Republicans, who tend to favor corporate shareholders and executives.

I always vote a split ticket, though.

Well, you can't be a liberal...they don't allow dissension (sp?) in the ranks and your view on gay marriage is enough to get you drummed out of the outfit.

You sound like a person who actually thinks about the issues and weighs them instead of voting on one issue. Good for you.

Of course. If your views don't fit into someone elses predefined political definitions than that's their problem.

Yes you can. You're just an individual with individual opinions. Don't let extremists categorize you because they will always categorize you as "the other". Just be yourself.
